Pourquoi me reveiller (translation: “why awaken”) is formed in 1998 by Muf (vocals, piano, accordion and guitar), Nix (guitar), Fallus (viola da gamba and bass gamba) and Inkie (bass guitar) They all drink coffee except Inkie who prefers tea.
Stephen Paul Taylor has been making music for the last eight years. He began by writing songs about nudists in the wintertime, nostril fetishes and fuzzy pink bunnies, but as his style evolved, so did his songwriting. Now he writes songs about scumbag boy
GHIU combines hi-energy drum beatings, pulsating bass, both noisy-staccato and atmospheric synth/guitar, with the sarcastic hyper-throat and spoken word of j. kegge, into a dynamic, crushing and emotional sounding live performance.
